Founders Pottery Taster Day

This special Founders Pottery Taster Day is a hands-on, celebratory session created to thank and honour those helping bring this community pottery studio to life.

During this session you will:

Design and make your own ceramic tile to be fired and permanently installed on the Founders Wall, forming a lasting record of the people who helped make The Clay Haven possible

Create a small pottery piece of your choice — either a pinch pot or a coiled vessel — which you’ll decorate, to fire and keep

Sit & Sculpt is a relaxed, three-hour introduction to the beautiful art of hand-building. In this welcoming workshop, you’ll learn three foundational ceramic techniques — coiling, pinching, and slab building — guided step-by-step in a supportive studio environment.

After exploring each method, you’ll have time to design and create your own unique piece, which will be professionally fired and ready for you to collect and treasure.
